A cranial hair prosthesis is a custom-made medical wig specifically designed for individuals experiencing hair loss. It is not a standard fashion wig. We craft it using hypoallergenic, breathable materials for sensitive scalps.

OUR CAPS:
Silicone Grip Cap: Lined with medical-grade silicone. It uses your body heat to stick to your head. It does not need glue or tape. This is great if you have total hair loss.
Vacuum Cap: A custom mold made from your exact head shape. It uses suction to stay put.
Bamboo/Cotton Lined Cap: Soft, natural fabrics are used as a liner. They soak up sweat and are very gentle on the scalp.
Monofilament Cap: Uses a very thin, lace-like mesh. Each hair is hand-tied to this mesh, making it look like hair is growing right out of your skin.
A full PU (Polyurethane) thin-skin wig is another excellent medical option, especially for complete hair loss. It features a base made entirely of a thin, flexible polymer layer that mimics the look and texture of a real scalp.

Insurance & Reimbursement:
If your hair loss is due to chemotherapy, alopecia, or radiation, your health insurance may cover 80% to 100% of the cost. Have your doctor write a prescription for a “cranial prosthesis” using the medical HCPCS code A9282. Many insurance plans cover a cranial prosthesis. Revivify will provide an itemized receipt with the required medical codes (such as A9282). Check with your insurance provider for coverage details.
