Abigail Rice
Abigail was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she developed a passion for hair styling at a young age. At the age of eight, her mother presented her with a Barbie head for Christmas, which became the canvas for Abigail’s budding creativity in hairstyling. The experience of styling hair proved to be both fulfilling and therapeutic for her.
At the age of twelve, Abigail’s mother granted her autonomy over her hair, which led to a period of self-discovery and experimentation. She explored various hairstyles each week, including coloring, cutting, weaving, and braiding. Reflecting upon her childhood photographs, she is astonished by the diverse hairstyles she created for herself and others.
During this phase, Abigail’s talent gained recognition within her neighborhood, as she began to style the hair of local girls and cut boys’ hair every weekend, offering her services free of charge. She engaged in this activity not out of financial motivation but rather from a deep sense of fulfillment derived from bringing joy to others through hairstyling.
At the age of sixteen, Abigail secured her first position at Savag’e salon, located at Ridge and Midvale, where she focused on braids, weaves, and protective styling techniques. Between the ages of 23 and 31, she transformed her residential home into a hair salon called Hair Beyond Expectationz, LLC. Subsequently, at 32, she relocated to Seattle, Washington, where she continued her work at Fantastic Cuts n Styles. Between the ages of 34 and 38, she operated a home-based salon named Exotic Hair Creationz, LLC. From 38 to 44, Abigail pursued formal education, earning credentials in cosmetology, nail technology, trichology, and cranial prosthesis, and an associate’s degree in business at Everett Community College, all while managing her storefront, Unbeweavable Salon & Store in Lynnwood, Washington, where she specialized in hair extensions and hair loss restoration.
